Needless to say I had a bad day today. My laptop suffered a catastrophic failure and I lost everything I'd done in the last few days on my PhD (which thankfully was not huge but I am still struggling to load one of my specialised back up files) as well as a bunch of other stuff.
BUT, I am not one to dwell on misery so I thought to celebrate my 1000th post more appropriately than the above, I thought I'd let you all know that I actually enjoyed my ride home in the rain today. I love those big fat raindrops falling on you while you're wrapped up warm and cosy on the bike and as long as the visor remains fog-free - it's all GOOD!
So...thanks to Kiwibiker for an awesome year and a bit. In the past year I have learned to ride a bike, ridden on the track, raced on the track, toured the South Island, toured the East Cape, and met some awesome people who I now call my friends.
