View Full Version : Andrew Stroud on Sticky TV

SPORK

As I walked inside today I noticed my little (13...) brother watching Sticky TV. Normally I would shake my head in disgust and wonder what the world is coming to, but today I was quite pleasantly surprised.

Who else should I see sitting on a couch but good ol' Andrew Stroud. It seems that one of the presenters is quite a bike buff (he owns a ducati, according to the brother), and he got Andrew in.

Pretty cool to see bikes being promoted on kids' tv.

Yeah I saw that, the guy had a monster i think, then the new guy (no I don't watch regularly...) has some supersized scooter. Then my friend goes "stroud sucks. If stroud was any good, stroud would be in motogp" "maybe its a budget thing" says I. "Nah stroud just sucks".
I slap him.
Stroud cool.
JS.

That would of been boring, Andrew Stroud maybe a great rider, but when it comes to PR I've seen rocks give better interviews...

I saw Stroudy give a presentation (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=1837&highlight=stroud) a coupla years back about his life & success including his Britten riding days, and he did just fine with his public speaking. Hearing about him being on kids TV is no surpirse cos at the time he said he was travelling around the schools and encouraging the next generation to excel in sports, etc. Top 'christian' bloke!

I saw him on sky when the Endurance race was on, pretty sad really, one word answers... maybe he felt uncomfortable with the cameras on him, dunno, but I was very dissapointed.

Andrew comes into work regularly. He is a very quiet, nice guy. Even with all that he has accomplished he is a down to earth person. But put him on a bike and all that changes :ride:

If it's good enough for priests and pelagianists, then it's good enough for me.

Edit: Not that I'm into boy's.

Andrew is a really nice guy he goes to the same church as me.

He is so down to earth.

I have been told one of the reasons he dase not really do alot of riding out side NZ is that he dase not like being away From his wife and kids all the time. Any money as well

Ok... But where?!!?

Hmm i thought this would've been much tougher, go down to the bank, transfer whatever savings, money you have on you at the moment, into my account which i will PM you, which then will go to funding my race effort, i'll give you a mention when i'm having a tanty in the gravel at the end of denny hulme!

Cheers (alos anyone else you know with money, put that in as well)

You do accept double negatives right, so you'll effectively take my debt, and somehow turn it into race winning form??

All we need is a lightening storm!! with my beauty, vision and form, and your nearly race winning skills, we could spend MILLIONS!!! Muhahahha
