Feb this year in South Africa


A total of 918 people applied last year to be reclassified from one racial group to another under South Africa's race classification laws...

...Mr. [Stoffel] Botha said one white had become "Cape coloured" 69 Cape coloureds had become white, five Malays had become white, three Indians had become Cape coloureds, two Cape coloureds had become Indian, and one Malay had become Indian.

In addition, 133 blacks had become Cape coloureds, one black had become a Griqua and one Cape coloured had become a Malay.

Among the unsuccessful applicants were four Cape coloureds who wanted to become Chinese, nine Indians who wanted to become Malays and three blacks who wanted to be "other Asians."

It's funny...I just wish it were a joke.

unsuccsessful in NZL are about 1.2million aucklanders wanting to be reclassified as New Zealanders.
also unsuccessful were the residents of 'Browns Bay' wanting the area to be renamed to 'Quasi South Africa' :nya: :blip:

We have a heap of very pale people wanting to be Maoris.
The best part is that they can.
They just have FEEL Maori.

I got in trouble at my old work once for referring to black jellybeans as 'indigenous jellybeans'. Funny thing was that my Maori friend who I made the remark to thought it was a great joke.

Next time in hospital having an operation, insist on ONLY maori blood to be used in any transfusion...

just remember to ask for a white doctor otherwise you may end up with a maori doctor who got through on the maori quote for non whites getting into med school with lower grades than whites who were turned away from med school under racial equality to let a maori have have a place in med school
