Daytona 675 tripple

mmmmm.... different. I was in checking out the local bike-shops, and happened upon Wellington Motorcycles, (i'm new in town) where i got yarning to one of the Sales dudes -Pete, who rekoned i should take their demo Daytone 675 tripple for a squirt. Well it'd have been rude not to so a grudgingly accepted, and threw a leg over... :ride:

My first impression was "wheres the rest of it?" this bike felt tiny, it was like being back on my 250, so light an skinny. After sneaking throught heavy town traffic i felt comfortable on the bike very quickly, still very stiff and new, it behaved impeccably in traffic, smooth at low speed, and with plenty of torque to get out of the way. I got onto the motorway and got a better feel of things, although never reaching the magic goodby lisence number, (even though it was urging me to!) this was an intoxicating ride, this is th most nimble bike! the way you could toss it round and the flawless handling was wicked fun. I took it to show a mate up in Pori, who rekons he'll take some ideas from the styling to incorperate into his bucket... :corn: We decided the styling was part R1, part Ducati, in a tiny frame. very sexy, and tidy with black frame and silver paint. schmick.

Massive grin factor here in a nimble, sharp package, if you need a town capable bike with a difference, more than capable of the open road blasting thats not a J-bike this could be for you.. go see Pete @welly m-cycles (read shamless plug) :2thumbsup: cheers for the ride Pete

Well they should see it as the compliment that it is. What i mean (and forgive my lack of elloquence) is that it is user-friendly in the heavy town traffic. This is definatley not sayin its a scooter for town! don't mistake me :innocent:

I love them too but too much $ compared to a Jap plus the colours aren't that great as well. Either case :

Test rode one last week amazing the triple engine is the best, felt confortable straight away, handling gave heaps of confidence -(in the rain too)
but will proberly buy the speed triple, it will be suited to longer trips and has the same grinn factor. The daytona was built as the race bike for the road and will bite if pushed hard - google daytona tank slapper or daytona crash. still the most awesome looking sport bike around.

Is typical scenario,you decided to change your bike and none around you like,I was after a speed triple or daytona in either sizes (street or speed)but nothing seemed in my price range,but the 675 daytona was certainly high priority,alas stuck with gsxr and happy as with it,am mindfull she is similar to the daytona with power etc.
