I live in an inner city apartment but this last week I am "minding" a 16 year old male teenager in Whitby. Hence I have been able to ride my bike into work. And in the rain! Obviously I haven't got soft yet! I have thoroughly enjoyed being back on the bike, it's russian roulette every morning, honing my forgotten skills again - they come back fast.

Being on the deaf side I have to have a really loud alarm clock - was doin well all week except this morning. Typical the very day I have to work for the big boss! Either that alarm never went off - and I KNOW I set it, or I just plain didn't hear it. 7.45am I bolted outta bed, grabbed some jeans from friend's cupboard and shirt, into leathers - thank God it wasn't raining, so didn't have to haul the rainsuit on. For the first time since I was probably 5 I put my boots on the wrong feet, packed motorbike bag, managed the cleaning of the teeth and I'm on my bike at 8.03. I was on a mission - I remember once looking at the speedometer 140kph, more looking out for cops, parked the bike at 8.25 at my desk 8.30 ALL WITHOUT COFFEE.

Finally I managed to get a coffee about 10am - so basically began to function. Another week of riding to and from work - yeeha.
Hope the weather is good this weekend cos I need to ride!!
