Hey everyone,
Firstly im not going to apoligise for my language as you will see why further down......
My dad (new member sarg) had his bike parked downtown..... Just 30 mins ago, he went to get it to go for a ride, when he arrived he saw that some little fuckers had tried to steal it :angry2: In the process they dropped the 240+kg bike thus smashing the top fairing, side fairing, headlight, ram air duct and scratched the side of the can :angry2:
You would think if it is in a carpark building it would be relitively safe from damage like that :angry2:
Its now off to Red Baron to get fixed and will be off the road for at least 3 weeks waiting for parts to come in from Japan :angry2: ..........
Even though it isnt my bike (although i would like it to be lol) i am unbelieveably fucked off at the nerve of some people........ I would LOVE to get my hands on those fuckers.........
Ok rant over

Well I think you should apologise. Not for the swearing, but it would've read better if it was "The Fucken Little Shits".
You would think if it is in a carpark building it would be relitively safe from damage like that :angry2:
Well, you might think that, but in fact, it could well be that it's safer in a more public place, such as the park in front of the library, or the one under the Nelson St (?) bridge.
Either way, it's infuriating that there are arseholes like this around. It's also a bastid that your Dad will have to pay for this out of his own pocket, or wear it on his insurance policy, through no fault of his own.

Years ago now ...(mid 80's).....I had parked my 650 savage in a car parking building in downtown wellington. It was chained to a ringbolt in the concrete and on the 3rd level........It walked !! :argh: ....I was gutted !!......the cops reckoned that it was taken out in a van so the attendant wouldn't have seen it. To add insult to injury the insurance company that I had used at the bike shops recommendation went belly up at the same time and I ended up with nothing !! :angry2:
Bike thieves will always try and they will stop at nothing to get what they want......I live for the day when I actually catch one at it...... :kick:

heres an idea, plant a flash bike, in the same place. Then 'leave' but have someone posted in a car to see what goes on... then you can come back with a crowbar and say :Oi:
They mite not come, but its more than worth a try.
Only other option is to ride a shit bike like mine... who wants 2 steal it. Tho i must say i'd be rather pissed off if someone stole it all the same.
Hope the bike gets fixed ok so he can get back to riding. It never really feels the same after your stuffs been tampered with but heres to a good recovery

Getting back to the topic...
TS, where exactly was the bike parked?
Seems from what you said that it happened sometime before 2 pm this afternoon. It perturbs me to think that a bike left during the day in a parking building could be vulnerable.
How do you know they tried to steal it? Could it have just been kids fooling around?? (Not that it makes much difference to the end result in this case...)

It was in the bike carpark at down town parking complex (closest too the wharf) and was there for a fair while, i assume that is was being stolen because of the size of the bike, its not like you can "accidentally knock it over" especially with the weight of a kid..... its extremely stable on both the mainstand and side stand..... so thats the only explaination i have, i mite pop into Red Baron tomorrow to inspect the damage....
Im sure the Carpark buildings have Security either walking around OR on push bikes ........ i wonder where they were, i mite also check if there was security camera coverage....
I also worry now alot more about where i park my bike........ is it safe anywhere???? I mean i park my bike in a BIKE CARPARK and it gets knocked over by a 4x4, and dad parks it in a bike carpark and it gets extremely damaged

The cctv surveillance installed in carparks is crap. Only sufficient to detect activity. It will not get rego's or ID persons most of the time.

Don't be too quick to wright them off as useless. I've seen some pretty awful still pictures from surveilance footage succesfully ID offenders. The thing is that local cops generally know who is responsible for stuff like this but can't always prove it. Because they know the arseholes it doesn't take a great picture for a cop to be able to say who the offender is. I've had numerous cases of shoplifting and theft ex-cars where I didn't know the dude in the picture but by passing the image around as many cops as possible someone inevitably will nominate someone as a suspect. Also when an offender is eventually caught and identified there is a chance of linking them back to all the other unsolved offences, which is a lot easier if there is a photo on the file, (even if it is grainy and out of focus).

Have you ever been hit by one? Having done Tae Kwon Do for a number of years and free sparred against male and female partners I can tell you that the only real difference in society is perceptual and oppressive. On the other hand, I wouldn't hit anyone - unless either I, my family, or friends, or an innocent bystander, or a cat, or some classes of inanimate objects, or maybe my lunch, were in danger.

Yep, I've been slaped pretty hard in the face by chix plenty of times. You learn as you go along I guess :confused2
Its just the way I have been brought up and how I formed and opinion on the topic. I just like to treat females as ladies. Even if I came across a bitch from hell out to get me, best I could do is just stop her physically.
Now with boys in the other hand, that's a different story. Haven't been in a real fight since the early years of high school but man that was pretty fun. Nothing beats guys being just guys, Being macho or acting like a tough guy and that kind of crap that we do sometimes. It's stupid but fun while it lasts.
Hows Tae Kwon Do btw? Some of my guy mates do Judo with hot chix. They end up getting slaped across the face by the end of it. Why? Well, its a contact sport and its a bit like playing twister where the opponents various "bodyparts" come in contact with your own various "body parts". Then the guys bodies naturally react to the situation and the chix end up being very upset!

i would love to have an after skewl spelling coach , but since my father spends all our money on new bikes, tyres for bikes, riding gear , parts , services we have no spare money wat do you suggest we do?
:Police: HAHAHAH! i love it! FF You are my role model!.. hope when i grow up my family will have to say things like that. Otherwise i will have failed and instead be saying "Oh, my wife says i have to drive a car because they are safer and i have to take the kids to skool every day!"
And amy keep the funny posts coming!
P.S Sorry TS to hear about that, id offer my services in the KB Vigilante but unfortunatly im just skinny white trash. maybe if you tied him up and bashed him till he was pretty soft my weak girlie arms could do something?.
:P nah who am i kidding! i think ill stick to riding little 400's and keep those dancing lessons going. :weep:

Yeah all carparks have disclaimers about how " If your vehicle is stolen or tampered with we will accept no responsibility for the damages incurred". What you need to do is park it in the corner of a deserted carpark, late at night and hide between the wall and the bike. Then when someone tries to steal it you say "Ha-ha!!" and push the bike onto them. Then put a radio tuned to Classic Hits/shania twain CD/Blindspott CD next to them and watch them suffer. Take a brisk walk around the area and come back. Your vigilante justice system has removed one felon from society. I would do it myself but no self-respecting amateur jacker would steal an '86 VT250FE.
My friend got his ford laser stolen from outside my school and it was found in West Auckland. You could tell they were amateurs coz when they tried to take out the stereo they broke it, then smashed it when they realised they'd broken it. As well as removing a couple of engine mount bolts (start smaller kids, engines are heavy) they stole the three, yes three, two year old scratched hubcaps off it. So all in all they took about $10 worth of stuff of the car, but they did get about $1000 worth of hockey goalie kit (he's goalie for the 1st XI).
OK now try and find the moral in that story. :whocares:
By the way this dude isn't a punk/punker/punkrocker, :Punk: he looks like a freakin metallica fan.

That sucks TS & to your dad as well, theives are scum, but even if they wern't trying to steal it there are pleanty of people out there who do dumb shit like push a bike over for the hell of, vandals are scum too, was it in an area where some dumb shit in a cage could've backed into it? Or highly unlikely? i don't know many people up here that would hang around to say sorry that drives cars.
Hope your dad can get back on it sooner than later, what a f(*&%$ inconvience.
Hope to catch ya in the weekend if not, puke nex friday.

this sort of thing is so depressing, I can relate to your feelings, the swearing is probably justified, but I really wish that there were more police dedicated to seeing offenders of this nature apprehended and seriously dealt with, so that they never reoffend, maybe removal of fingers/hands or if nessecery arms.!!

Of course the police aren't dedicated to catching these scumbag offenders. The Police are far too busy issuing speeding tickets to bikers. :argh:

He is punk as the day is long.
The reason the day is long for you is because you listen to Metallica. More bpm = shorter day (does not apply to dance music coz I'm just as bigoted about that too)
GO THE 'PISTOLS, NOFX ect LONG LIVE PUNK IN DRUBLIC!!
