Finn
6th August 2006, 18:08
Ah, Sachs is the motor, but not the bike. What is the bike?

Finn
6th August 2006, 18:08
Yeah I though it was a DKW.

It's not a DKW or a DNKY for that matter.

onearmedbandit

Kind of easy to guess Sachs engine, especially with it written on the casing.

SwanTiger
6th August 2006, 18:12
Yeah I though it was a DKW.
Sachs took DKW over in the 1960's.

Fuck you.

Shit that is a hard one, it shares so many design characteristics of the Mars Stella, I'm guessing it came from the same company?

Was cheating looking through google image when I came across this. Wow, who needs modern suspension and tyres to get decent lean angle. Not racer dave, whoever he was...

Geier, from the late 50s early 60s

SwanTiger
6th August 2006, 18:29
Is that your final answer?
Yeah, I just looked up a picture of the Mars Stella 'cos I can't find any of my books. Not exactly the same bike, but so many of those design characteristics are there, so my answer is Mars Bike + Sachs Engine?

Tell me i'm a naughty boy and I got it wrong Finn, spank me, spank me hard!

Another of the hundreds of DKW clones, they must of printed them on corn flakes boxes. The Sachs engine makes me think it's German, but it could be any European country.DMW? how's that for a guess.

No it is not a Hercules. Speaking of Hercules, did you know that he murdered his wife and children? In my books, that doesn't make him much of a hero.

Gotta be a trick question - ok,so it's a Sachs engine and a DKW clone, everyone made the DKW clone, even Harley....what's to stop anyone making their own. We've seen what people can make in their garden sheds these days....what's to stop someone making their own bike, and putting in a Sachs engine? It's a no brand,as it says on the tank.

Cool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!t's an NV from Sweden, 1926 - 1960, NV (Nymans Verkstäder which translates to Newman's Workshop) was a bicycle maker in Sweden. They also made outboard engines, mopeds and motorcycles, they either merged or were bought out by Monark in 1960 and became MCB (Monark Crescent Bolagen) Now where's my fuckin Greville tostie sambo maker

Regardless, my girlfriend was back home in Sweden last month and her uncle dragged this out of his garage. She took a photo thinking I had the same make of bike. One letter out - close.

Motu was onto it, they were OEM'd
