You aren't looking too bad there Mark. Hangin off but not a silly amount, looking in to the corner, you seem to be pretty solid in the seat, but maybe could relax the arms a bit more.
The pics make it look like you're goin backwards though...weird...

Can't see anything wrong except for a bit of upper body tension, and maybe from the colour of your face (blue) you forgot to breathe :)
Pity you didn't leave the red-eye fix function off. That would have looked cool.

Funny how we hang on for dear life even though doing so will kill us.
It's natural to tense up, but try lying on the tank a bit more, gripping the pegs and being very loose on the bars is good, 'cos the suspension and front wheel can do what they need to do without interference. Helps big time when you tackle some bumps outside the carpark :niceone:

Yep you've certainly improved Mark.
But I think my training method is brilliant "Do it RIGHT or you get the BASH".
I'll try find the photo of my slide and that nasty, nasty clay that stole the back wheel :nya:

For anybody wondering, marks cornering method was this:
Nail it into the corner, slam the brakes on way to soon, drop the bike into the corner too sharp and then brake again fucking up his line, nana the bike around the rest of the corner and then nail it again once in a straight line.
Which developed into:
Now he will come up to a corner at a nice speed, brake once, drop into the corner wider than usual, and right on apex smooth on the power like a sling shot out of the corner.
Nice clean lines too.
He is still slow, but that's because he rides a ZXR and not a Hyosung. One day he'll learn and buy a real bike.

Put the tips of your feet up on the pegs to stop ruining your boots Mark
also in dry conditions you can get your knee down without even having to worry about grip. Its only when going fast with your knee down will you lose grip.
Just lean more untill your knee hits.
I know easier said than done. But It is easy and you are quite close to doing just that

I don't think you would have been that close to peg scraping.
Have you seen the pic of Texmo Knee down in the "250 Club" forum?
Thats how far you can go before peg scraping
But still nice going so far!!

that's kinda a good thing.. the only real time you should tension your upper body (arms) is in a stoppie.. the rest of the time, the handlebars will take care of themselves..

Err not. You should be carrying most of your body weight by gripping the tank with your knees.

for stoppies? yeah, although, according to an article i read, you should stiffen your arms, and yes, gripping the tank with your knees is very important too
Basic Stoppie
Body position--specifically, keeping your body centered over the bike--is probably the most important aspect of pulling off a safe stoppie. You must first get your body dead-center over the middle of the bike with your head straight, shoulders squared and arms stiff. Having your body off-center is what's going to cause the back end to kick out once you get the back wheel up.

I found that made my shoulders a pivot point for my body weight. You want the combined mass to rotate around the front axle, not the front axle and the grips.
But then I am a fat bastard.

I thought that was kinda the point, so you can use your shoulders to pivot the 'back' of the bike from going to either side..

Use your knees for that. I mean it creates two points for the mass to rotate around in the vertical plane if you lock your arms.
