Just been down to their new shop, two buildings down from where they used to be in Trugood Drive. They don't have the "street presence" of the old building but more importantly there is probably three times the floor space, and a lot more stock on display. I agreed with Dave when he said that "it's now a shop worth visiting!!"

Felt a bit stink not buying anything from them today so thought I'd write this as they are a really good bunch of guys to deal with (even if you don't own a Honda).... and for us East Aucklanders, a very handy location.

They have my old VTR250 back in stock to be sold for a third time (now with 15,000km on the clock), so I assume the last owner is a happy customer there too.

Wait till you trade a bike in....is the arrogant South African mechanic still there ?

He described a warrantable tyre as "fucked" - even the salesman asked him to quantify his statement.

Still, I got the last laugh

Didn't see John there today, and haven't seen him there for a while.

I've sold two bikes there in the last 8mths.... the front one on the SV was "f***d" but they weren't fussed as it was "on behalf" and warrantable.

How is a warrantable tyre fucked ?

I get good grip out of Racetecs just prior to the steel showing...:gob: (in the dry)
And Cycosis gets good grip even with steel showing.

I dunno - you Aucklanders.:nya:

Must admit that I have tried their service as well. A bit different being in another part of the city to them though...
Excellent service and they certainly knew what they were on about when it came to my particular mechanical problem.
Cheers guys!

The south african guy, if its the one you're talking about, is still there, he's workshop head.

They need to have a loaner bike... some of us don't have those class 1 fangled things, and need something to carry on the rounds... like getting to work, which is 5k down the road...

Instead, I waited a bit, then headed into the city, to get the problem sorted...
