Hi

I recently got a new Fxr and was filling the oil but the gague on the side shows different when the bike is on, when its revving and when its off so I have no idea how to read it.:bye:

Also where do I remove the old oil when changing it and how often should this be done.

The level is when the bike has been running for a few minutes then turned off and let rest for a minute or so. The bike has to be level so put it on its side stand with front wheel straight and kneel down on the other side and put your arm over the seat to get the bike upright. The engine will be off off course.

There is a bolt on the bottom of the engine to drain the old oil, it is obvious as it is the lowest one and oil pours out when you open it.

It think it was every 4000 km that the oil had to be changed and then every few changes the oil filter would have to be changed as well.
