View Full Version : Pal Diet

I was in New World buying a large bag of Pal for my Labrador and was in the queue to check out. A woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

On impulse, I told her that no, I was starting The Pal Diet again, although I probably shouldn't because I'd ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your trouser pockets with Pal nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry & that the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again. I have to mention here that practically everyone in the queue was by now enthralled with my story, particularly a tall guy behind her. Horrified, she asked if I'd been poisoned and was that why I was in the hospital. I said no ... I'd been sitting in the street licking my balls and a car hit me.

I thought the tall guy was going to have to be carried out the door.

Excellent ~ my policy is: Rep to any post that makes me laugh out loud.
This cracked me up. :niceone: Off course, this means I have to give out rep to those really dumb squid questions in the newbie sections too. :blah:
Is it a true story~?

Well, why didn't you give ME rep when I posted this a week ago? And no, I somehow don't think it IS a true story... but you could always try it and let us know if it works!

Bugger, sorry about that. I searched on "Pal diet" and got no hits, so thought I was safe.

Well, I can't read EVERYTHING on KB (much as I try; at the risk of social life).
But not to worry, there's plenty of bling to go around :niceone: I'll be your 'Bling Daddy'

I'll give it a go, but here in Korea they'll probably nod sagely at eating the dog food and recommend I eat the dog too~!

I reckon the whole repost "thing" is because so much gets posted 2 or 3 times. Without being an asshole about it, try breaking your search up into smaller terms or try different combinations. It's more likely that you'll search your ass off and someone else will post it before you or you'll find it and get let down that it was already posted.

So I guess the end result is that you say "F*ck it - I looked. Bite me if you don't like it..."

Shame on you, I just gave you a postive rep point because I was under the impression you actually went and said that at the supermarket. Turns out you just plagerised it as your own clever humour.

Sir, I beg to differ. I believe that "asshole" is entirely acceptable, if the inflection was American as it was intended to be.

You can attempt debating the possible redeeming features of "inflection" when the posse arrives. By now they should have sets of fiendishly sharp dentures and won't want to be disappointed...

Don't toy with them. Cardinal Ximenez thinks innuendo is Italian for suppository.

I was wondering whether Pug's could be considered "Dogs of War"?

A Bling Daddy, way cool!

I had an Asian friend who went to China for a holiday and came back with photos of dogs and cats in cages - she only did it because she knew how I'd react. Considering what domestic pets eat, I doubt I'd be keen to try eating them! I'll stick to REAL meat thanks!

Ah, those were the days... NOT!!! Glad you haven't found any more like that - but before you say "wait, actually I have..." - I don't want to see them!
