I understand you now need to put your laptops in the hold of the aircraft when flying in/out of the US...

Those frequent flyers out there need to buy a good solid laptop bag... and if anyone find a decent model can they let me know.

I'm imagine an internally padded briefcase would be best surely?

Not even allowed novels anymore as you could throw them at some one.

I am suprised they still allow passports on board, that higher quality paper can inflict some nasty paper cuts!

Yeah - padded inside and hard/waterproof shell on the outside. I remember fondly the day they left my bag in the rain on the tarmac... the contents were all wringing wet.

Seriously - it's like the put the bloody thing in a swimming pool for an hour!

I wonder if companies will send airlines a bill for the lost productivity they expect of their employees on flights these days.....:wait:

If your laptop is stolen or suitcase gets dropped heavily, at least you didn't lose the priceless data ... the HDD was in your chest pocket or the fashionable clear zip tie plastic bag.

Ummm and do you walk to the states whilst you laptop is on the plane???

You are basically only allowed you passport in a clear platic bag, and clothes on flights to the US and UK now, no electronic equip at all
