Anyone planning a ride tomorrow?

I'm upgrading the shock on the road SV to a GSXR unit. Should be back together by tomorrow.....

Jimbo and I might do a short run up the Taka's tomorrow - my rear tyre is pretty rooted so if its dryish might get out and incinerate the fucker at the carpark at the top for a laugh.

I might be at the Caltex carpark around 10 if the weathers OK.

Not 100% sure because it relies on me leaving 4 kids with my wife (on her birthday)

Back already. Didn't even make it to caltex :(

One of the front brakes is binding. I noticed it last night, and thought may a couple of k's down the road would free it up. No such luck.

Suspension feels OK though...

About 10 of us turned up at Caltex. Nice to meet you Maybe, hope the rest of your ride was okay.

We left home at 8.15am and went to the McCafe at McDonalds in Upper Hutt. It had clouded over above Kelson overnight, so there wasn't a frost at our place. Got towards the Silverstream bridge and my god, the temperature dropped about 10 degrees and the sides of the road were white with frost. Two large lattes later I'd warmed up a bit, and by the time we left Caltex it wasn't too bad.

The girls went straight to Carterton (Katie's still on a learner's licence) and the boys went the back roads through M/Borough/Ponatahi/Parkvale. Surprise surprise, they weren't that far behind the girls!

A nice brekkie at Carterton, good food and good company.

Back via Parkvale/Ponatahi/M/Borough, then stopped at the top of the hill for a while on the way back.

Mark Dunn: what did you think of the Kawasaki?

No wonder it was still frosty if you guys headed off at 8:15! It takes a little while to defrost up there eh? I popped up on Sat and the roads were dry and it wasn't too cold (but that was at about 1pm). Beeeautiful.

Sorry I didn't have much time to chat yesterday Linda. We had a good mix of 8 bikes and dragged out some guys that don't often venture over the Wairarapa. See my thoughts on the ZX10 posted 13/6 under Sports bikes- "R1 Question"
In short I prefer the Blade especially at $2k less. The Blades certainly faster anywhere but a LONG straight line. ZX puts out awesome power-eventually. How can I explain it. If I bought a ZX10 before riding a Blade I would be totally satisfied with it. BUT if I later got a ride on a CBR I would have regrets. Now I've ridden both I'm still happy I made the right choice for me - no regrets. For those wanting absolute mind blowin acceleration try the ZX out.
