Hi guys,

Just a quick one to let you know I have a new race bike which will debut at Manfield this Saturday, I am the proud new owner of a Triumph Daytona 675 triple!

Have been pretty flat out juggling things to get this organised (hence being quiet on the site) but am stoked with the new machine, have only had one decent ride on it but first impression is she's got plenty of potential. So for now it's goodbye to the 4 cylinders and hello to a nationals campaign on the 675 (the triple is allowed in our 600 sports production class).

See some of you on Saturday at Manfield, for the rest will write up with how it goes (I'll be away from computer till next week), other than race fairings she's a stocker so will hopefully provide a good benchmark for improvements.

Big thanks goes out to Ray, Greg, Bruce, Patrick, Gav & the team at Auckland Motorcycle Powersports in Auckland, Triumph New Zealand & Protecta Insurance for their support.

Also special mention to Colemans Suzuki for their support while I was campaigning the Gixxer, thanks fellas!

Cheers,
Nicko

That makes three at least in the nationals for next season, the local Triumph dealer here has two guys running them

I am the proud new owner of a Triumph Daytona 675 triple!

Good choice! I am becoming a triple addict myself, currently riding the "Rangerover" model. Took a 675 out for a test recently and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to your future writeup

Cool but interesting choice Nick. Makes lots of sense of course. Who did the body work for you? And who's bought your Gixxer.
