Well, I have been working in Darwin for 1 month, commute 200km per day and absolutely love it!
Travelled about 5000km on the Beemer in the past month - try to ride as much as possible over weekends too. I am so comfortable on the bike that when we do need to travel by cage, my wife does the driving!
The wet season is approaching and that means a lot less riding for me then, but till then I am really enjoying it. Daytime temp of 32 and night min of 17!!!:sunny:
There are some FERAL BASTARDS in the Territory too and we have to keep our guard up!
At least 140km a day is done on OPEN SPEED roads, only problem is that the roads are pretty straight / boring, but I have found a rural tarred road with good twisties to get the adrennaline pumping again.

All you guys and gals take care out there:scooter:

Maybe your Wet will be better than ours, down country, which is more of a "slight damp" - driest in over a 100 years!
Gotta watch out for those feral animals - and the roos!
Only 110k limit down here, but, when you see 1 cop every 2-3 weeks........hey - I commute 200k a day as well, but only take the bike once a week or so. Too f**kin cold in the mornings at the moment - even with heated grips!

soundbeltfarm, I am a Production Manager for a reinforcement company in Winnellie.
SP, the long timers are are predicting a "wet" with a bit more water than before, will have to wait and see what happens. I have a 4X4 ute lined up, will collect end of Sept, lot of floodways on my way home!

Roos/wallabys are not the main problem.... They don't get on the piss and behind the wheel of a car!:shit:

Have a great weekend
