Those are some great pics!!! I can only hope that I can be more creative like that one day....
Just curious, what camera is that taken with? (I'm gussing slr, if so, what lens&flash unit do you use?) I see that some of the darker shades some visible noise in them... is that from the camera or post processing? Were they shoot in raw then processed or jpeg?
Sorry for all the questions, but I figure, if I don't ask, I don't learn...

No prob
The jpeg compression giving the noise - some of them were saved at 5 or 6 originally for other web sites.
Some of them have even been converted to cmyk and back for kiwi rider.
If you want the top shelf stuff Kiwi Rider Magazine - $10 at your news stand ;-)
Camera is a Konica minolta dimage A2. Some with flash some not.

you know its strange , Seeing all those bike lined up , you can see at a glance the styling of each
The Thruxton caught my eye ( it did on the stand as well) , the scramble is almost there , just those pipes, makes the rear disk, looking like it was plonked on
Change those pipe to slow slung slightly upswept ...and she d be B u te full ,,
the rest you could keep....
Thanks Some nice shots there !!!

Who is very happy with his Enfield .....

Awesome pictures Bid Dave ! They look really nice mate.
Just a quick question? Were the bike photos taken separately and you just photoshoped it on the background picture which again was done on a different shot.
Well I am guessing photoshop or similar programme either way it looks wicked! Wonder if you can do some for me :)

Thanks - but nah - there is very little photoshop in them. Bit of unsharp mask and tweaked some of the levels, but mostly raw images.
To get the toothpaste backgrounds shoot as fast as you can with ASA 50 and the longest lens you can muster.
For portraits I generally look for locations where the background is as distant as possible. I used to psd them - but a good camera negates the need.
I'm happy to shoot anyone's bike if it can work in with my logistics.
I'll do another KB portrait day when the weather picks up a bit.

Sweet bud, I am keen to get a few shots done when you have them next. I was actually thinking of doing them myself but I don't have a good cam nor are my photoshop skills too good :)
Can you please PM me about the details. Really like the picture with Skycity background and the Viaduct background. But all of them are really awesome. Can't believe my eyes Lol..Good work mate keep it up :p

Now I'm even more impressed with the photos. I just assumed that you'd be using a SLR...
Tell me, does the minolta have full manual aparture controls and shutter speed? what's the aparture range?

yeah - full manual controls, excellent lens and telephoto adapter - I chose it over a cannon because it's so compact - 300mm equiv lens and it all fits in a bum bag.
f3.2 - is as big as it opens.
nice bikers camera.

nice shots man, fav has to be the daytona 675 with the row of pilars/wall running off into the b/g. You should do private shoots for people who want their pride and joy in its wn frame next to their gf/bf wife/kids :)

Great photos.
I recently got a new camera and these help inspire me to get out there and take some pics.

Nice pics man, love the photography. You must have a pretty flash SLR cam.
I just got me Photoshop for the 1st time last week and here's a wallpaper that I started working on as an experiment. It's not finished yet but I only have a few text desgines and logo's to create. I took the pictures a while back with a low res camera but hopefully some of the stuff I'll do in the future will come out a bit better with my new camera (it's not flash still, I am only a poor student on a budget).
