Well on Monday I went to Fielding to pick up the kt250, so the holiday was put on hold until Tuesday, but it was worth picking the kawasaki up at the price paid. Packed everything onto the DRZ on the Monday evening and went to bed. Come Tuesday morning I jumped onto the DRZ after donning my gear and after riding about 100m down the road, the DRZ decides to throw a spastic and died! No wonder its yellow, tis the colour of scared. The poxy Suzuki knew it was going on a decient wander and conviently shat itself (pt).
I dumped half the stuff I was going to take and pulled out the reliable Honda out, changed some of my gear and made my way north to Morrinsville. Was a great ride up there and about 10km away from Morrinsville I thought I was going to have an encounter with the local ploddies. However the wagon drove past and I counted my lucky stars...
Got to Morrinsville and stopped at Phil's Motorcycles, where I spent the arvo mucking about. Cheers to Turtle, MT, Kornholio & staff for putting up with me. Also a special thanks to Turtle for putting me up for the night, feeding me and also supplying the free beers. Went up to Whangarei next to see the boy and as it turned out, I chose the wrong place to stay the night, as at 0200 it all turned to custard and by 0300 I was back on my bike making my way south again. Got into Orewa at 0730, after finding somewhere in between to lay down and wait for some sun light as I only had a tinted visor. Another special thanks to the owners of Four Seasons Motel. They let me check in at 0830 so I could get some sleep at no extra charge. Then rang up SwanTiger, who very kindly showed me around the place. The last special thanks to Anaru, I'm pleased you knew where we was going... Great to meet Zed at the bike shop. My bubble was totally burst in what I thought who Zed was, as he turns out to be a pretty good bloke in the end. Went around and met markauckland, after meeting him in person, seeing where he lives, I'm not surprised at all in the way he carrys on online...
Thursday evening, KB ride? Great to see so many bikes, about the same size group as we get here on a good pie n pint ride in the summer. To all you that introduced yourselves, cheers, great to meet you all. To those who didnt, bunch of upsmart tossers... :eyepoke: Cheers to the fellow on the KR150 on the ride, I had no idea where we was or going. I'm pleased you did...
Ride home today was mint, but I am also pleased to be home. I'm home safe maaaaa, great to see ya last night again. I suspect that my week that was will become a regular thing as it was just what the doctor ordered and I feel totally refreashed. Likewise I look forward to seeing you all again, hopefully in Taranaki where I know the roads and are comfortable riding on them...

What an awesome week!! Cheers to all who helped me make it what it was...
P.S. SPB, I still owe you a beer, might have to come to the naki for that one eh. :nya:

Not worth mentioning, apart from the fact that P is a shit substance...
Suzuki? Once it realised it was off the hook from the ride and a small electrical part was replaced, it was fine and is back in the garage

Quote of the week from SwanTiger. "Mark (skidMark), I reckon you just need to have a masti before you go for a ride and then you should releave the tension to stop doing anything stupid" :spanking:
