Hi there.. another KB virgin..

:ride: Heeellooo... I just joined today, so thought i'd better say gidday.

My current toy is a 93 GSX400F. Been riding for 15 years.. mostly pretty hard out.. loads of rallys & charity rides.. & club rides. I've been a member of the Plains MC club in ChCh for 13 years!! Started on an 82 gsx250, then had an 83 XV750 for 8 years.. got the opportunity to race a 900 Fireblade round Ruapuna in the novice racing.. got back on the xv to go home & thought.. 'shite, I can RUN faster than this'.. so she had to go.. picked the toy up cheap, did her up, & was supposed to flick her on for a healty profit & get the 750 of the same.. but #2 son happened instead.. DOH!! My bike is my passion & fills my soul. I am at my total happiest in my leathers out on the open road!! especially... when there's NO bloody time restrictions to be home!! lol.. stay upright!!

Things a bit different now, but all to the better i reckon... now its a Buell for me, similar to what Bugs used to have only faster... :innocent: KIDDING BUGSY!!
We will have to catch up at the nelson rally first weekend in Nov, think you can make it to that one? Somewhere around the Maitai they hold it i think. We should be heading up there with a few...hopefully

Thanks for the welcome.. this site has been reallly cool so far!! it's great getting these messages!! I absolutely LOVED racing the Fireblade.. best day of my life. & I would KILL to get into racing properly.. IF I had a bike.. :doh: The XV didn't last long after riding the fireblade.. & being such different riding styles, I can't say it did help my road riding.. UNTIL.. I got the GSXF, being a sport/tourer!!! I really noticed my increased confidence then.. leaning harder into corners & throwing her around more! Being a 400 toy, she's real light.. therefore much easier to throw around.. which I DO EVERY opportunity I get.. lol..!! although.. I did my damdest to touch the footpegs down on the old xv.. & succeeded MANY a time.. lol! A GOOD ride is.. scraping my boots!! :done:

I've been to 1/2 dozen track days over the last few years and they have been nothing but positive and inspiring, I recommend for anyone who is a reasonably confident rider to at least do one track day to gauge their ability and get better aquainted with the capabilities of their current bike...it's worked for many a KBer!

What happened when you clicked it? It should ask you to create or name your gallery if you havn't eva used it before. Click on Upload file and see what options it gives you. :D
