Does anyone know if I can get a cable making kit?, I mostly need a good stock of the various ends, but a roll of inner and outer and some different adjusters would come in handy too

Go to the oldest push-bike shop in town (or m/bike) and see what they have. Newer shops prob wont have the bits for assembling cables. It is possible to make the lever end nipples out of brass. If you need to know how to attach the nipples can try and explain :)

the local pushie shop is ok but the don't have very heavy cable, forget the local bike shops, you have to walk in with your wallet open, before they even speak to you,

I usually solder them on on the stove:yes: , I use Brass rod to make the nipples, but have been known to use steel when I've had no brass handy, but Id like to get the poofy end things for the outers, and the brass nipples that look like little top hats too.

Between White Wholesalers and Darbi Accessories, you can get a fantastic range in NZ. LPG torch is the fastest/easiest, that and some duzall.

I don't know about Whites but at that time Darbies would not deal direct ( i guess that would be no non account holders) so went via Motomail....... I have a Darbies catalog somewhere and could scan that section if it helped to give an idea of what is available.

The motorcycle supply industry is quite closed in most respects, which I don't have a problem with due to the size of the country, the relative lack of abuse of the concept, and the ease of which we can use the web to shop if required.

Darbi Accessories, they're pretty tight. I can buy cable supplies, brake pads, spark plugs and the like, but not motorcycle helmets etc, as I'm not in the motorcycle trade. As such, you usually need an account to buy from them, but I don't think you'll have too much trouble getting a cash account to buy cable supplies from them.

You should have no trouble with Whites.
