Given the distain some Harley riders show for Japanese motorcycles, what sort of outboards do they use on their boats?

I think the real question here is, what do they use for anchors? :done:

They are rich enough to own boats too?

Fuck, so the guys with Rocket III's have private jets?

Mercury Mercruisers, none of this loud smelly outboard motor crap.

So now someones going to come along and tell us about all the Japanese content in Mercury outboards.I don't know if they still are - but at one stage Mercury were a GM company, and the alloy heads of the Corvette were developed and cast by them.

My brother is into his Harleys, owned quite a few and just recently sold his Fat Boy, on the lookout for a replacement now that he has bought his own service station and started a family. Anyway, as he is a mechanic he would work on his mates HOGs, they would drop them off at his work or our home. These guys would never miss the opportunity to knock me about 'Jap-crap', I never missed the opportunity to take the piss when their partners turned up in their Mitsubishi/Mazda/Honda etc to pick them up.

I know that all Mercruiser (inboard engine with sterndrives) are marinized GM blocks. Bloody good motors too. Quiet and not stinky. I presume the same for their outboards.

I dunno, but I do know what they could use for a mooring weight.

A crashed Gixxer?
Not heavy enough and not enough tassels to sink into the mud with.
