This is a great opportunity for riders who want to up skill a little - Phil did some training with a mate of mine... he is very patient, he offers intercom communication/instruction if you decide to take an on-road course...

Worth it - it helps keep the rubber side down :first:

Id also highly recommend Phil. I did my BHS with him without ever riding before and he was extremely patient despite the fact that I was utterly useless :p. If he can get me up to a standard where I pass the BHS, he can do anyone!

Hey guys,

Here is the link to the calendar for those who can't find it :

http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/calendar.php?

Well I did my basic handling test with Passrite last year in December (2005) and didn't really like their training method/delivery considering I told them more than twice I had never sat on a bike before. They didn't even teach me how the gears move.

My cousin did his basic handling with Phil at Riderskills and did really well. I did most of the learning on my own and didn't really take anything useful from Passrite.

Saw the 50% discount post on KB and read through their website. Gave Phil a ring and he sounded really patient and understanding addressing all my questions. Decided to book in and rock along to the "Confidence Building" course.

Good bloke indeed offered me coffee upon arrival. Anywayz started off with the basics in a car park, things which you take for granted. Polished up on that and went out to build up areas.

Gave me feedback after and then went for an extended ride out backways and even took me to roads which I am familiar with Coatsville/Riverhead highway. Heaps of cops though. Good day for a ride. Excellent course as he takes time with one on one coaching. Stepped through some useful riding and awareness tips which will definitely help me ride a lot safer and approach corners better.

Definitely recommend Phil, awesome guy !! Thanx. :first:

I would also highly recommend Phil. He was very patient with me when I was doing the course and we ended up getting through the whole thing in just a couple of hours. He expects a high level from the people he teaches but he is prepared to put the work in to see that they get there. Very glad I did my course with him as I picked up some good information and passing the course was a tremendous boost to my confidence.

Thanks Phil and thanks Riderskills! :2thumbsup
