Hi all, I'm a new rider and bought a Hyosung GT250 for my first bike.
Seems ok so far, and I'm not really to worried about speed while I'm learning.

Got a couple of mechanical questions, if anyone else out there with a Hyosung could answer.

The manual shows a fuel cock, but there isn't one on my bike.
How does the reserve tank work without a switch?
Also the tank reports empty after sucking out 12L of fuel...which with a 17L tank seems a bit wrong. Does anyone know if the fuel gauges have a habit of being incorrect?

Cheers

There should be a Fuel Cock as there is no switch for reserve, what year is your Bike?

As for the Fuel Gauges, they aren't exactly the best, but it should be slightly more accurate than that. See if you can have the sensor inspected and/or replaced under warranty. I have a GT 250R and the digital display seems to be fairly accurate, I've never had a moment where its shown that there is fuel and then I've run out, but there are stories of this happening on the web.

So how do you switch to the reserve supply?

Mines an '06
I can see the feed from the tank and some wiring etc that goes into the tank beside it...but they are buried well inside the frame beneath the tank, so there's no way I could adjust anything on them

Fuel is supplied through a vaccum operated petcock, there have been reported problems resulting in hydro-locking, but it sounds like you might have a different problem and should take it back to the dealer you brought it from.
