after a ride last weekend i desided to change oil and filter.when i had finished the change i noticed a leak a round the sump plug, only to find 60mm split in sump pan[ not good ].monday morn on the phone to bike shop HELP ME PLEASE . 4 weeks from japan wasent the anser that i wonted, plus the $421 nz for the parts . on the net to sydney 3 emails $250 au delivered proberbly monday morn .odds are i will now just deal with suzuki au, way beter service more parts on hand :2thumbsup

So many parts come out of Oz these days, AND overnight delivery!

Have you tried Ebay?

Rip it off

Find a boat builder (or anyone else used to/good at Aluminium fabrication)... get them to weld it up.

While welding it there a trick... put a steel (NOT AL) bolt in the hole so a full penetrating weld will go right up to and include the thread (more or less).

Weld from the inside and the outside. I think that's it - any serious welders out there able to further clarify/offer tips?. It's gotta be quicker and easier than the replacement bit by the sound of it

Edit - I didn't read the Au option... that'd be prcie competitive... and easy.
