Everyone is. The magazine welcomes contributions from all NZ motorcyclists.
Many KBers have contributed.
Ross's editorial policy is that it's <- 'our' -> magazine.
Ya got something worth publishing - he would like to know.

So if I sent in a couple of pages about my experiences of starting out in Street stock racing, A Couple of Paragraphs might get published? Or would my writting be so Amateurish that they wouldn't bother reading it?

Any chance a KR journo could come to the Wairarapa Sprints on the 24th Sept ? English wasn't my strongest subject.
Any chance of sponsorship for the event ? Perhaps putting up a years free subscription to KR Mag as a prize ?
Cliffhanger Promo should be posting some info about the event very soon.

Nash is probably the man to chase for coverage - he lives down that way.
I don't have a contact - You'd have to go through Ross - editor@kiwirider.co.nz
The request for a subs prize doesn't sound unreasonable - sponsorship $ are harder to come by - but that is publisher Vege's call.

I used to do a lot of writing and photography work for them from about 1997 to 2000 or so, but then the phone stopped ringing and they started using other people to take their photos. The last thing I had in there was either an article on when I bought the Beemer, or something on one of the Wellington adventure rides.
I write for the army now!

Lot of fun writing. Use to write freelance for a couple of fishing mags. More on the technical side than the fishing trips etc. They are two a penny and if you've read on one trip you've read them all.
Rides? Good way to get into print..........but remember one ride report is much the same as the next. I don't read them unless there's a personal interest.
There are some posters here who seem to know their stuff on bikes. Pick something that you know about and share the info. Lot of fun guys. But insist on getting paid. You won't get much but at least get something for your trouble.

Nope, did a lot of work for them when Bentman was there, but I started working for Esdaile - who told Tina Hartung (who previously worked for KR) I was one of the best freelancers he'd ever had - shame he never told me that! Ross said he had plans to put plenty of work my way but it never eventuated so I just gradually developed other markets.
Sitting here right now (well, not right now) earning $65 an hour for some editing work so I'm not complaining!
