Just settling in for the night, got my 2nd Tuborg in hand, a beer I have never tasted before, but I must admit I am I Pils' fan, and this Tuborg is bloody nice. What's your beer of choice?... lagers, draughts or whatever?.

Dude, strut all you want, these perks in life are made to be flaunted, enjoy yourself, and remember that George Bush may well be a test tube experiment gone wrong.

Tuborg is shite. :D
Well, I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the right beer. Is Tuborg the one that's endorsed by the Danish crown?

All these NZ made Euro beers, like Tuborg,Carlesberg,Hieniken etc seem to be just crisp largers, very nice and easy to drink cold....a girls beer, and fine by me.I am tempted by the darker side - not really porters and stouts, but ales and bitters,reds....beers with body...

My favourite...... a bit hard to come by, Emersons Pils. Made in Dunedin I think. If you like pils, this stuff is nectar (IMHO).
:first: :drinknsin :yeah:

I love Monteiths summer ale, Speights and Tui. I just happen to have several Tuborgs in the fridge right now too, but I tend to drink beer in the summer and wine or brandy or whiskey in the winter.
I liked Tuborg when I first tried it but don't like it as much now.

It seems to be nice and clean, and doesn't turn my digestive system into something that would rival the Kapuni gas fields, like other beers I like such as Hollandia, which is an beautiful wee beer, but I fart like a vegetarian for days afterwards.

Had a drop of Lancaster Real Ale a little while back - that wasn't a bad wee drop but it has to be imported by passengers...

That stuff was awful, but as you said, cheap was good back when I was 17

Don't drink Tuborg - it's made of South Auckland poo water. It's just the usual shite in a fancy bottle.
If I want a decent lager I can't go past Mac's Gold - a vastly underrated brew. In winter is got to be Guinness, followed by several Malt Whiskys.
Now I feel thirsty.....

Cut n paste from my reply on the last thread about this :-0
Beer: Tui or Waikato, almost anything free (cant even drink free Lion Red less I'm realllly thirsty)
Poncy beer: Monteiths Radler, Wanaka Beerworks Cadrona Gold (OMFG hard to find!), Sol/Corona + lime
Wine: Never really likes reds, will drink some whites but not much outside of Reisling / Ice wine
Spirits: If its straight? any decent Vodka or scotch, i'f I'm mixing, its bourbon (Fighting Cock and Heaven Hill are good imo)
Liquors: Havn't found anything I wont drink yet.. But especially Glayva, Drambuie, Kahlua, Baileys, Orange Contreau, Absinthe, Malibu & Midori. Honourable mention also to Liquer Galliano which I never buy myself but am always happy to drink when my parents have a bottle
*Edit* I can t believe I left Jaegermiester out of my list! *pats his new bottle*

Enjoy it all (drinkies) while you can, if you live long enough you might discover you have become "allergic" to it, now that is a real pain in the arse! John.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has experienced this! The wife keeps away from me the day after I've been drinking Hollandia. Hmmmm...
The other day I bought some Carlsberg from the local supermarket - made in NZ "under the supervision of Carlsberg". Very nice drop, I self administered several stubbies.
Also as someone has already pointed out, the Pils made by Emersons (Dunedin) is good - really good! Unfortunately its also moderately expensive, about $6 for a 500ml bottle at the supermarket.
