Bump.

Still not sure if I can go yet. For all those who are thinking of meeting up with the Red Knights to head up be aware that this will be a cruisy ride up suitable for slow/medium riders. As the Red Knights are made up of members from the emergency services, fast and dangerous riding will not be tolerated.

thanks for the info RiffRaff.

Come on people, get yer arse into gear, lets do this and lets make it big, we need more numbers, primarily to support the run and secondly to support Kiwibiker.:scooter:

outlawton - others will turn up on the day......

Plus if you look at 'Meetings and events' there are a few other rides happening on that day as well.
I guess it would be nice if they decided to come along and do this ride...
then there would be heaps of riders...... but we cant force them.

I surely hope it is fine weather as I have to head back down afterwards and go straight to work... so will be having to take extra gear with me just in case.

Had an awesome day today,a small contingent of KBers turned up at the mobil at Oteha Valley Rd,decided to head up Old Albany Highway ended up on the tail end of the Ulysses folk (about a hundred of them),we turned off to head up 16 to Wellsford pretty uneventful , except maybe for Crashe showing us her overtaking skills on some poor unsuspecting cage into a right hander, stopped at Wellsford for a yarn, ciggie and to hook up with MahaMan and his cotingent , then off to Mangawhai Heads , then to Waipu to meet the rest of the bikers, had a police escort all the way to Whangarei (i mean like the police weren`t chasing us escort) to the fire station where a cheque was presented to Kidz First and we had a sausage sizzle and a couple of drinks then headed off home, well Cowboy,Outlawtorn and I did, down Sh 1 ,saw a couple of nice gents from some gang when we were leaving Wellsford ,and 1 of the gentlemen managed to give us a 1 fingered salute(real intelligent looking fucker too) so I gave him a 2 fingered salute right back, anyways pretty good ride on the way back lots of really considerate cages out there too , (big ups to them) OK I`m sure Iv`e bored you enough ,thanks to all on the ride nice meeting you all , look forward to the next 1, Cheers P.s Was it me or was the sun too bright today?

MadDuck also showed up at the mobil to join in todays ride.
Sixpackback showed up at Waipu......

Busapete and Mrs Busapete was also at the mobil... but they buggered off to join that other bunch that headed to some pub down the line...
Bacon and egg pie for brekkie for Mrs Busapete

The Red Knight's handed over a cheque for $1000 to Middlemore Hospital for kidz first.

Riding back down the 'gang' were at the Wellsford petrol station... just past there was three guys standing the back of a ute with a vid camera..
well naturally I waved to them... but I got a funny wave back...

Awesome ride....... awesome company....

MahaMan, Mrs MahaMan, MadDuck and I stopped off on the way back at the 'Bridgey' at Warkworth... I left them there supping away on some drink...

Spotted a few lads on blue stopping a couple of cars going the other way so that meant they were so busy that they left us riders alone..lol

The Red Knights bunch that we joined up with, were a awesome bunch of guys to ride with...

You never know they may just join KB as well.

Not sure of the final count of bikes that turned up today to ride to Whangarei.

Yeah the Red Knights were disappointed you werent on the ride... they asked why, so I hope you dont mind me telling them your baby is out of action.
One said he wished you would answer your emails... hehehehe
Think the name may have been Richard.

I dont have a digi camera... but I am sure others had camera's from within the Red Knight's organisation.

We left the Mobil with 10 bikes and picked up another two at Wellsford.
Red Knight member and MahaMan and Mrs Mahaman as his pillion.

Funny thing was as we turned off at Diary Flat gas station, the Uylssess bunch were just 30meters ahead of us.
We rode to Kaukapakapa then up 16 to Wellsford and we beat the Uylssess riders there. We rode further than them
And we were not speeding...... MadDuck was setting the pace and I was behind her.... and we all know I cant go fast.

Heading over to Waipu was fun throu the windy tight corners...
I had a bigger cruiser behind me.. and I heard this almighty loud scraping noise... well I looked all around me.... thinking what the hell was wrong with my bike... well it was the footpegs being scrapped on the road by the other cruiser... man he was taking it over.... he lost heaps of metal off both sides that day. They were tight corners...
