What the hell kind of soft-cock calls in a pursuit??
Ya only call it in about 2seconds prior to it ending. (with a bit of luck it was ended by the cop)
Pursuits? I thought about having one once but down south there aint no such thing as a 'pursuit'.
Only a big time loser trys doing a runner down here - mind you, in 1996 I think somebody DID do a runner and get away with it - but we're not sure if a terminal meeting with the Kawarau River counts as 'gettin away with it'.

It was a patched tribesman on a HD V-rod. He apperently was on a drug run and had $3000 of methamphetamine on him before he ditched it into the wind.

pursued on a Harley Davidson motorcycle was seen to take packets of white powder from his pockets and throw them onto the road.
That'll explain all the police officers I saw kneeling on the motorway last night with rolled up $20 notes. Crime scene investigation or sumthin.
I like how they always say it was a Harley, other manufacturers wouldn't get a mention.
[Edit:] McJim - you obviously did some extensive research before heading to NZ! I hope you've also seen the classic Bad Taste.

Always look before I leap me - that's why I got the VTR250 to start - 'bout the best learners bike there is.
I also wanted to find out about acceptable bahaviour in New Zealand households so studied a film called 'Once were Warriors' which has excellent tips on how to get eggs cooked.

I was in a cab coming over the bridge and he went past about a foot from the car door splitting traffic next to us. He was fair gassing it with a yellow shopping bag hanging out of his right pocket.
Several Police cars were trying to follow him but obviously given the traffic weren't having much luck.
I was heading for the airport so we left at Gillies Ave and didn't get caught in any of the traffic.

$3k? 3 grams worth? that's fuck all. hardly worth the effort. i've seen $250k in cash and $500k in meth hidden in the boot under the spare wheel of a car - would have thought he'd be carrying at least $30k worth

Well thats as much as he would admit to. It was probably a hell of a lot more though. He was carrying a toilet roll sized bundle of $20 notes aswell, might i add he kept hold of that though.:scooter:

Should have given the tax man/WINZ a phone call... they would have taken the lot between them and left him nothing. Probably owes heaps in fines too... hit em where it hurts... right in the pocket.

Police motorways units were used to put a moving block in place for a short time on the Southern Motorway between the Newmarket Viaduct and Greenlane when a gang-member being pursued on a Harley Davidson motorcycle was seen to take packets of white powder from his pockets and throw them onto the road.
