Going to work this morning, gently weaving through the masses in their cages, (thanks again to all those that pull over), when three little p p.....policemen on Hondas merge ahead of me at Hobson St.
Bugger! So, it was a choice of 10 km/h with all the cars or the most legally precise lanespltting I've ever done.
Lanesplitting it had to be. Got a long look from one of them, he must have seen the detector standing proudly visible, but at least he was cool enough not to try a bullshit stop.
Thank you anonymous Policeman, I don't really think you're all crusading dorks.

You only got lucky cause there were 3 bikes and you can't split a bonus payment three ways the payroll won't handle it and they'd only start a fight in the squad room :killingme

Lou you talk so much about the police that I'm starting to think you actually harbour a secret admiration for them and are only critical of them because you are desperate to hide your true feelings.

To paraphrase the words of Rob Muldoon, "I love you too Mr Spud"

well mate I honestly ride like your granny when splitting, and last count copped three tickets on the Northern all within 1 klm of the same spot. but I have noticed lately much less policing of this spot, as I think the police were beginning to sense some guilt over the entrapment zone? as I told them in my letters, still I'm really not convinced they wont come back without warning.
once you start thinking a slowly executed offence is OK your set up for a fine.
one time I Got pulled splitting behind a splitter they were after him but I copped it cause I was the first they caught up with. Tip dont split behind a splitter get ahead then you have a sort of race thing going. :bash:

Oh it is SO nice to be allowed to filter/lanesplit legally over here!

Our bike cops are pretty cool - if you can keep up with them, they're normally pretty good about letting you ride behind them when they're heading down the centre of the lanes!

Saw a couple last night, on an emergency call, so sirens blaring etc - they are seriously good riders - watching them throwing those big old Beemers into a corner I think about carefully when taking it on my SV was impressive stuff!

What kinda beemers do they ride over there? K1100/1200?
