My manual says that the tyre need to be inflated to 2 kg/cm. Can anyone please tell me what that would be in PSI, KPa or Bar?

Cheers and thanks

1kg/cm = 14.223 psi so 2kg/cm = 28.446 psi

1 psi = 0.069 bar

1 psi = 6.895 kpa

2kg/cm = 1.96 bar

2kg/cm = 196 kpa

Heya Pogo2

2kg/cm is 28psi.

To get Bar divide psi by 14.7 so that would be approx 1.9

Cheers

28 is to soft. Try 38 psi. That would be a good starting point for most tyres.

On tyres that are 120/70x12 and 130/70x12 ?
I thought around 30psi would be right for this size.

And they told me everything in New Zealand was metric....

Not quite, my rear tyre is a 180/55 x 17. The 180/55 is metric but that 17 remains steadfastly Imperial...

awww, and here I was thinking this was going to be a cool challenge to see who could get the highest amount of air into their tyres without making them go BAAAANG!!!

Sorry gamgee my challenge was more mental than anything else, but I do like the sound of your version.

I should have said on my first post that is was for a scooter, so 30psi sounds good enough for me.:D
