Hi all,
I wonder if anyone has access to the specs for a 1988 KLR 650?
My bike is very reluctant to start when hot or cold but fine when running. The spark plug is new and the carb and choke seems to be OK. I was wondering if it was the coil.
The resistance across the primary coil (between the two low tension terminals) is 0.6 Ohms and across the secondary coil (between low tension and high tension output terminals) is 4,600 Ohms. That second value seems low to me but I don’t have the Clymer manual and I can’t find the answer on the web.
I don’t want to replace the coil and then find out it’s the CDI.
Cheers.
