Cool. I'll go check them out tomorrow as I need to pick up a head gasket for the ZXR400. Finally an alternative to Red Baron who didn't have any non-standard sprockets for my bike!

go mt eden! they deserve it, a good bunch of guys to deal with & excellent service. I've had a new chain & new tyre & both times the guy that fitted it washed my bike 8-), how's that for service?

Yeah have too say, got same treatment from red baron, and were NZ$ 79.00 cheaper on 10k service than the buggers I bought the bike off !,
Only time the bike gets washed is when it gets serviced . :crybaby:

Got my cam chain done there, and because they also dismantle it is the perfect place to go when you own a more mature motorcycle.

Apart from buying an R/R there, I haven't actually had much to do with them, but I've rung several times when after parts, and Mike is always very helpful, and honest - he's helped out where he could, but told me who to try if he wasn't able to help me.

Still got the same phone number though.

don,t know about that but I did hear the Salesman T boned a taxi on his first ride of the Hyosung650GT a few weeks ago, speaking of which has anyone bought a hyosung650gt yet Good price and looks good but I'm a bit nervous about being a test pilot buyer could be a lemon?
as for Red baron service it seemed a bit pricey to me and I paid $40 for a warrent thats a $15 dollar mark up for what? I wont go back for service but would consider buying a bike from them if the price is right they present well.
Spectrum offer a good service price.

I phoned the guys at Mt eden up this morning looking for a speedo cable for the zxr. Talked to mike and he said - no problem, should get it in by the end of the day. Phoned redbaron up to check on their price - $7 more expensive, and they couldnt get it in for a few days. Rang mt eden again at 4pm, and sure enough there was a cable waiting for me :) I know who I will be dealing with in the future.... Plus the guys at Mt eden are personable, friendly and just as interested in having a yarn as they are in selling you some merchandise, which seems to be a forgotten trait in many many shops...
On a side note, it looks much better in there now... heaps more space and light. methinks a z1000 looks tempting :msn-wink: If only I had the money :(

Mike's alway's been good to me every time I've been in there, and Ricky downstairs knows his stuff too.
Antallica, speaking from personal experiance, I have yet to get a reply via email from any bike shop regarding parts. This is 7+ shops from around the North Island. It will be quicker to give them a bell

I went there late last week, the guy wanted $20 (each) for very second hand indicators with homemade stems. I went down to motomail and bought new ones for $29 each. Okay, so they don't quite match, but neither did the other ones.
It might take him a while to get in touch with the market.
