Hi,

I'm thinking about purchasing the Staintune full system for my Ducati Mulistrada but have no idea on noise laws etc etc

Anyone brought one, can advise on what the noise laws are?

Cheers

The noise laws are: any official goober with a dB meter can make your life hell.

The reality is: find a bike friendly WoF tester.

Another point to consider: Lots of stuff gets discussed on this site. The search function is your friend.

Cool pipes!!! Really look good.. How much power does it add?

Off topic question... What if you want to build your own exhaust? Will it be fine as long as it is <= 100db?

Thx all.

To answer your question the limit for bikes is 100dba roughly

and

I want to know about the sound:

Staintune and Ducati are like Italian food and red wine, they just compliment each other so well - the Staintune system brings out that distinctive deep throaty Ducati note.

Restrictors in: 92 dba @ 4000 rpm

Restrictors out: 98 dba @ 4000 rpm

So they should be sweet legally

Off topic question... What if you want to build your own exhaust? Will it be fine as long as it is <= 100db?So long as it,
- has a silencer
- is securely mounted
- isn't too loud (< 100db)
- sticks the fumes out the back, and not in your face
- doesn't leak

Essentially, if it's not a piece of crap, you'll be fine!

What?

Hi,

...Staintune full system ...[/url]

Staintune are made in Aussie, and are legal there. Any pipe that's street legal in Aussie will definitley pass muster here.
