Finally did my BHS last weekend with Roadsafe - Andrew Templeton here in Wellington, really enjoyed it and was great introduction to riding a bike, was all low speed but gave the very basics from which to build on with experience.

So yesterday went to AA to do my scratchy but was there after 4:30pm so was told i couldnt do it - so i went back today at 4pm and did the scratchy, was a little nervous as i hadnt done the testing since getting my learners about 13yrs ago, and if i failed hen my partner would no doubt rib me for it for years to come. Well about 8 minutes later i was done and yay for me 100%. So bought my $10 Shame Badge and left he shop with huge smile.

Now to get down to TSS and suss out me a hyosung, came with good reccomendation from Andrew at Roadsafe.

So now withing a couple of weeks i should be out on the road, please excuse me if i dont wave to yall - prolly be holding on and trying to concentrate.

Bull.

You've taken the first step into a new world - s'fun!

Don't worry about the wave - a nod's as good as a wink to a blind man...I mean a nod's as good as a wave to a Harley Rider!

And so it begins....don't mention the wave!

Cheers all for the welcome, ive been reading this forum in depth for over a month and that was the main push behind getting into riding.

Hope to see a few of you out there - not right away tho, will be learning locally for a while before venturing abroad.

And so our evil plan to convert everyone in the hutt valley into motorcycle riders continues, with the general public unawares.

Welcome aboard Bull. Have you seen the thread for the KB ride on 1/10? in the meetings and events section. Come along for the ride. Or if you are not up to a ride that size, come along to Caltex Rimutuka and see us off.

Just remember fairings cost to fix, and are the most likely thing to be damaged when you drop the bike :(
