New Micron MotoGP slip-on on my GSX-R750.

Arrived Tuesday (thanks Lou) and Colemans installed yesterday.

Now my bike is 4kg lighter :niceone: which now makes it 2kg lighter than a stock 600.

Here is a before/after video (micron.divx (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/images/micron.divx) 10MB) to hear the difference in sound. It isn't much just revving on it's side-stand. You don't really notice anything until you open it up on the road. At least the low rev whine is less of a whine now.

That looks really nice, the pipe follows the contour of the rear cowling. You just need to get rid of that spade thats holding the number plate now.

Nice one Spankme. Just fread an article on Micron in the latest SuperBike rag, impressive outfit who work with some very well known names. They however are reluctant to move into BSB, WSB, and MotoGP as they claim it's got as much to do with how much money you bring as the quality of your product.

No idea. Feels the same. Wasn't exptecing any change anyway and would need to do a before/after dyno run to check.

Beautiful.... I like it when the whine is left in the kitchen / bedroom whatever. The only whine on a bike should be more like a barp barp barp barp barp........

Not trying to stir shit here, but it seems as if our very own Spank is a hypocritical prick like our very own government. I believe there is a section for fuel and exhaust systems in this site we call KB. How about using it?!

I just get pissed off when people get red repped for starting the wrong forum, yet our very own 'king' can do as he pleases and not be punished.

I was going to post a response that was somewhat polite, but naahh... I don't care about 'stirring shit' or whatever...

IT'S HIS FUCKIN SITE, AND HIS FUCKIN MONEY FUNDING IT. IF I WERE HIM, I'D HAVE BANNED YOUR WHINEY LITTLE BITCH ASS ALREADY. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE WAY HE PLAYS THE GAME, FUCK OFF TO ANOTHER COURT. If he wants to post his post on his sportsbike, in the sportsbike forum, and not the exhausts technical help forum, then who the fuck are you to say differently?

I can only hope that you know him personally, and this is some sort of 'in joke'.

Maybe I worded it harshly, but I do have a fair point, as a lot of people would agree with. There's no need for snapping at me for trying to make things even man. I thought that you'd be a better person than that, reading that you ride an SV, which is an awesome bike.

If everyone else gets redded for posting in the wrong forum, by the mods, who are effectively him in greater numbers, then why doesn't he cop something for the same thing? Yeah, I understand it's his site and he pays for it etc etc but if you ran something, and wanted everyone to play by the rules, would you go out in front of your whole group and blatantly break the rules? It's not setting a good example is it?

It's exactly the same thing here. Yeah, I think the mods get too uptight about it at times but fair is fair. Everyone should get the same punishment for the same thing.

I'm not a better person, I'm an arsehole. I'm also dumbfounded that you would call a man a prick and tell him what to do in his own house.

I'm also pretty confused about why you would suggest that a post on a GSXR750s new exhaust would be better suited to what amounts to a technical help subforum on exhausts, than in the sportsbike general forum?

/edit: That people expect the internet to be some sort of democracy... it's beyond belief.

Because I've posted things (and seen things posted by others) about exhausts or whatever, and nothing to do with asking for help either, and I/they got redded and the thread moved.

If you're calling it 'his house', then if a rule was in place at someone's house to take your shoes off everytime you walked in the door, no matter how clean they were or how long you were inside for, and the owner didn't take their shoes off one time, then you didn't take yours off either. . .If the owner then turned around and said take your bloody shoes off, what would you do? It's the same thing! A rule for one, but not for another.

I'm not going any furhter with this

Wow, not even onto the third page yet.....

Indeed.

I'd issue an infraction and move the post if it were in the wrong place, but it isn't. The Fuel & Exhaust forum is mainly technical/help/etc concerning exhausts/fuel systems. And if I were a mod for the Sport/Road Bikes forum, but I'm not. Also the highest level admins are immune from infractions (built into the software) and a red rep doesn't mean shit, despite what many people think.

Oh yeah, the exhaust  It's a fantastic fit to the bike, they've done an exceptional job of molding it to the shape of the bike... I guess that's the 'hydro forming' technology Micron are pretty proud of. Out of curiosity, what does a stunner like that retail for? Is it just the bit hanging off the side, or the collector underneath as well?

Looks horn Spankme. I'm a big fan of Micron. Had them on my CBR929, 1000 and now the ZX6R. The baffles don't rust or blow themselves to buggery like some I've had and the outer metal doesn't tarnish. My seat of the pants impression has been that each pipe has given more low end torque and more top end rush. What more can you ask!
Another thing I like is that they are not too loud when just pottering about so they don't piss off Joe pubic hairs. Let rip though and they scream like a banshee (actually I have no idea what a banshee sounds like?)
So how are you liking the 750 after clocking a few miles up on it?

Looks really good. I'm thinking if I personally would have preferred it to be in black, still can't really decide. I think either choice would've been good, gotta agree the way it follows the contour of the tail lines makes for pretty damn sweet aesthetics.

What finish is that?
