Any one seen or heard of any good bike radiator guards for a RI? Theres this Aussie crew, Radguard, I saw their ad in Bike Rider mag, but $$$ AU220 delivered. Seems a bit steep, and they are Aussies. Surely someone here in NZ is producing any?? anyone know?

A bit of aluminum expander mesh and some cable ties... no one even has to know it's there if you put an hour into it, and get it sitting snugly between the radiator tanks

You get what you pay for with the Radguard, they are nicely made and fit real good.

Most of the time, I would agree with that sentiment entirely... but $260 + freight + tax is tantamount to rape. My $10 alloy radiator guard that took less than an hour of my time would take the Pepsi challenge with that overpriced mofo any day of the week.

Yep...spent $30 and made 3x radiator guards out of it.
STRONGLY recommend y'all use some sort of rubber washers between the guard and radiator to stop any rubbing.

Heh, I cheated somewhat. I made it about 2-3mm too wide (as far as fitting between the tanks goes)... it gives it an imperceptible bow outwards, which keeps it off of the fins ;)

I was looking at some from places like ausstreetfighters.co.au, but I wonder if any places would make up some sexy ones for a fair bit cheaper?

Pics attached of RADGUARD on bike. Easy as pie to fix and nice and snug. Give the bike a very different look from the fron end. Recommended company, they even threw in a stubbie cooler, a mag and some decals.
