If there are any Civil Engineers, Geotech Engineers or anyone on here who would know a decent website that contains technical details and data on different foundation types of commercial constructions, such as a hotel, please could you let me know the link.

I am in particular after some details on piling, and the design/construction conisderations surrounding such activity (for example taking vibration loadings into consideration when driving piles). The systems that I am looking at are proprietary concrete floor systems with the subfloor seated on piles (piles types to be decided) as well as strip footings in some places.

Geek question for here, but i figure there may be someone on here who will have a link for this stuff. Google searching aint really helping at this point, and since it is raining, i am not too keen to head into a library!!

Cheers,
Brett

Email or PM KB member daveeasey, he's a civil engineer with Maunsells in Auckland. Top guy and he'll certainly help you if he knows a suitable site. Have you got professional registration?

Nah, I am not an engineer myself. I think i may have found what i need in an old construction technology book, but if it doesn't have what i need, i will give him a yell, thanks for that!
