King of Levels Round 3 has been moved back to 23 September. Proof attached. As Dangerous didn't know about this yet, we thought it'd be a good idea to post it. Personally I'm gutted as I re-heaally wanted to go, but now its the day before the Battle of Buckets so I have to flag it.

Some of you may have seen this post before- can't think where though:shutup:

Interesting comment in the attachment:

... please obey them quickly to ensure engines do not overheat.
But if you're sitting on the grid with engine idling, how can they overheat?

Wouldn't there actually be a fault with the bike if it did overheat while simply idling for 5, 10, or even 15 minutes?

Wouldn't the rider be seriously worried that if their engine overheats while simply idling, that it'll cook itself during an actual race?

but by grid up time the bikes have done 1 or 2 laps warmup, given a warm day + air-cooled bikes sitting on grid for awhile = possibly not a good thing

some bike use a thermo syphon heat sink thing type a set up (no pump) so over heating at a stand still is possible.

Race bikes do not have fans and along high tickovers to combat backwheel hop under braking on the four strokes and race tuned two strokes don't really idle with there small flywheels and big exhaust ports. So the rads on the bikes don't work with no air moving through them, There for racebikes sitting on the starting grid for a couple of minutes doing three throusand revs or more will overheat.

My rs would overheat within 2 mins of idling, once it gets to operating temperature. Also if it gets much more than 58 the power output of the engine decreases too.
