Hey Speedie and others that asked about shooting at night.
I'm going to go out to take a few night shots of the FJR 1300 this evening.
I'll be at the end of Princess Wharf at 8.00 ish - past the Big boat and out to the end. If you want a shot with the city in the backgound.
Then might have a bit of a cruise about for some 'blue' (coloured) locations to go with the bike.
Shutterbugs bring your tripod. If you want a pic of your bike - clean it and turn up ;-P

Bugger! I would've been in for that instead of farfin' around in Borders in the city! That'll learn me for not checking KB "just one more time" Wasted more time to pick up something for my ipod from Tardme, which didn't fit ...

Tough gig - but someone has to do the hard yards in the middle and take the new ball up the hill into the wind:

Nice photos :D Nice bike!
Long exposure can work really well with sky tower and any vehicle for that matter (must admit bikes look particularly cool with long exposure night shots). Try some locations where a photo captures both traffic and the sky tower do atleast 15s long exposure. Will look awesome :)
One good location is the top of Wellesly Street. You can park your bike on the foot path and try shooting from there.

on a clear day...
Which are notably not as common as back home - you get that sea mist here that a few thousand KM of desert to the West tends to dry out a bit and skies are clearer.
Same 'big skys' that my european frinds have noted - bentman in particular - that they didn't get in the UK.
