Hi all,

I've been riding a Yamaha SRV 50 for about a year now, and have started to do a re-condition / pimp out on it. I know there is not much out there for servicing SRV's, so I got in touch with Yamaha NZ and they sent me back a massive wad of pages on stripping, servicing, and putting back together the engine/tranny.

If anyone is interested in getting a hold of this, flick me an email and I'll pass it on.

Also, if anyone has had some custom work done on one of these, please post back. I'm trying to get a few ideas for what to do. At this stage I'm in the process of:

- Stripping and repainting all painted components (colour ideas?)
- re-chroming / anodizing the shinny bits
- New exhaust system (either two into one, or keep two the whole way through but with MUCH more flow)
- K&N pods directly on top of the carbs
- Engine rebuild

Its a bit of work for a 250, but half of it I'm doing just for a tinker. Plus it'll be an awesome summer beach cruiser!

Hi',

I've manage to get .pdf's of Owners Manuals for several versions of the
SRV250 - If you need one drop me an e-mail to acm50@admin.cam.ac.uk

Cheers,

Lovely, sweet bikes -- no need to apologise for going all out on one of them.

I like this exhaust system. In fact, I like the whole bike:
