Here are the new 2006 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T 4-door and the new 2007 Dodge Challenger. The Charger is powered by a 5.6 ltr (356 c.i.) Hemi V8, while the Challenger will be powered by the 6.1 ltr (426 c.i.) Hemi V8. Deja Vu maybe?

I agree, the plebs that buy Camrys, Mitzi 380s and Maximas are pretty bland in their choice of cars, you would have to wonder about their lives too...

The Pentastar team have awsome styles of cars, if I was FORCED to choose a modern car I would head straight for one of their products,

Go the cars of old!!!

My workplace vehicles are all Holden Astras, not for long though.

This month we're upgrading the fleet to brand new Vauxhall Vivas!

They have however been rebadged to Holden Vivas.

Both the Vivas and Astras are rebadged Vauxhalls.

So when is the Vauxhall Victor coming back?

My top new car would be an atom2. (or atom3 if they make one faster)

I took a friends Porsche 944 for a spin and I couldn't fit! :gob: Seat back as far as it could and my thighs were still hard up against the wheel and it was offset so around corners it got interesting? I am not even that Big!

I should probably revise my statement to porcshes that are not 944's or 928's but the pedals being situated to the left a little way is quite funny and the way the clutch pedal get pushed into the floor instead of a litte "arm" coming down from above. my fav being the gt1 porsche then the gt2/gt3 are equal then the 911 turbos then the carrera 4 carrera 2 and i also LOVE the old school carrera rs with its full roll cage and leather straps to open and close doors to save on weight. fuckin awsome cars. The gt2 puts out around 500bhp standard but the engine isn't stressed untill you are getting around 1000bhp from it. But there are a few other cars that are just loook so good I like them as much as porsches, liike the astin marton vanquish with its twin super charged v12 engine mmmmmm

Hmm loving that Challenger, also wouldnt mind a dabble with the Ford GTT (GT40 rebuild). If not i would go for an original body Charger/Challenger rebuilt by Chip Foose with all the modern goodies that he has hookups for.

CCX ftw! Makes 950 Hp on decent gas and uses an in house motor not some Detroit anchor!
Acceleration: 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) 3.2 seconds
Top speed: 395+ km/h (245+ mph)
Standing Quartermile: 9.9 seconds, end speed 235 km/h (146 mph)
Braking distance: 31m (100-0 km/h)
Lateral G-force: 1.3 G
Fuel Consumption: Highway travel: 13 l / 100 km
Combined: 17 l / 100 km

CCR is dead.

That will be based on the old 392ci Hemi. Forgot about that, and I used to be a member of the Chrysler Club! :oi-grr:

They went 356 ci in '53 to 392 ci in '58 and 426 ci in '64 for the Hemis. The "wedge head" aka "magnum" motors went from 361ci, in '58 to 383 ci in '66 and 440 ci in '67. The anomaly was the '58 350 in the Plymouth Fury which was fuel injected. The Hemis all had twin 4bbl Carters "Thermo Quads" and the "wedge heads" all had single 4 bbl carbs. The "Magnum" package consisted of 3 two bbl Carter Carbs on a semi highrise Edelbrock manifold. You used the centre carb until you opened up, then the outer two would come in.

The new Charger's grille is based ironically on the Aussie Valiant Charger. You've probably heard of the E-49, but they also produced the E-55 which was powered by the 340 ci "magnum" small block Dodge Challenger motor.

Here's the second generation Dodge Charger from '67. They began in '66 as a fastback Dodge Coronet:

The only cars to really capture my imagination are these two, the silver beast is a concept car - Chevy Camaro
The wine coloured one is the Holden Efijy, I am not sure if it's a production vehicle, or a nother concept/special, but the lines on these two are hot

for me its the Bugatti Veyron, its capable of more than 400 km/h, is driven by a 16-cylinder mid-engine, that at 710 mm long is no larger than a conventional V12 unit, and due to its lightweight construction weighs only about 400 kilos. Its compact dimensions are due to the unique arrangement of its cylinder banks in a W configuration. Two VR8 blocks, each with a fifteen degree bank angle, are joined in the crankcase to form one engine. Both eight cylinders are set at an angle of ninety degrees to each other and are aspirated by a total of four exhaust gas turbochargers. The engine delivers 1001 HP at 6,000 r.p.m. and provides a maximum torque of 1250 Newtonmetres at between 2,200 and 5,500 r.p.m.

Wow what a monster

And it needs how many radiators to dissipate the heat produced?

And each one is sold at a loss dispite the large price tag.

Now that Holden would be cool if it ever went into production. This is their latest offering - The E series HSV GTS:

Not bad - 20" wheels etc, but the price tag of $74,995 AUD is a bit rich for a Holden. I mean, a new Chrysler 300 running the 5.8 ltr Hemi V8 is only $59,995 AUD and that's imported from the US.
