It's certainly a scary time, Frosty, but kids are quick to bounce back and the hospital staff are awesome.
Thinking of you and wishing you well.

Ain't that the truth - or at least provide a strong sedative ie whisky, for parents while they are waiting, waiting, waiting..
Glad to hear that all is fine, tho'. Didn't we all tell you that??

Corrected:
Glad your kid made it fine! Buy him an ice cream at first opportunity.

Was:
REFUAH SHLEMAH to your kid
I had wisdom teeth extracted under general anasthesia and it was kind of interesting. I distinctly remember that I had 2 things I was worried about: a) that they will start before the anasthetic kicks in and b) I was trying to understand how it is possible that everything in front of me is floating down yet remains in place (I am still puzzled about this one). Eventually, the nurse gave me a piece of plastic and asked me to hold it for her with my teeth for a moment. After a couple of seconds she told me to let go of it, stand up, and go home. The surgery was over. I haven't detected a slightest interruption in the continuity of events.

So tell your kid that if he is lucky it will be a lot of fun, and if he is not, he won't remember a thing.
