Korea MC Show 2006!

Alright, it's about time I tell you about this year's Korea International Motorcycle Show (KIMS).

This appears to be the second KIMS hosted in Daegu, and I was lucky enough to be here for the last one in 2004 - see here:

Having also been to the MotoMesse in Munich, Germany, I thought I had just about seen the best in motorshows but this year's KIMS was awesome!

Two massive floors with wall-to-wall bike stalls with everything from Yamaha, Suzuki, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Kawazaki, MV, Scooters, Hyosung, accesories, you name it. And of course, the obligatory racing girls were out in force. However, shockingly, NO HONDA!

Outside in the carpark they had hourly stunt shows and a racing circuit with all the latest sportsbikes battling it out hardcore.

I've never seen a Tokyo motorshow, but I think this would be about as close, if not just as good, as you can get.

Asian girls + motorbikes = that's what I'm talking about.

I respect the fact you didn't feel the need to be in every photo with these girls. I respect it greatly. Why people don't sell massively large posters of Asian girls on bikes I'm not sure. I'd pay extra for 3D or scratch n sniff.

It's hard for me to decide which model I like best, I would have to ride them all. This applies to the bikes and girls.

Wouldnt mind some of Ms. Suzuki. That line up of Aprilias is pretty hot, and im a bit of a sucker for the Ducati Monster, pitty its not the one with the white stripe down the tank.

I think the girls are quite used to being ogled at ~ you think the crowds were looking at the bikes? Hell, I had to go a second time to actually SEE motorcycles.

But yeah, my photo-shoot started off quite shyly, then became increasingly more brazen, much like these characters...

Okay, at long last: The video of the show is here!

Actually, being the dedicated video-journalist that I am, I took great pains to film everything at the show - scooters, choppers, cruisers, sportsbikes, and of course, the racing girls.
The edited video was about 8 minutes long and I thought I'd break it up into 4x 2 minute chunks.
But then something occured to me: The KBers have seen all the pix by now, and do they really give a rats about seeing more scooters in video?
No. Rather, a few more bikes, and a lot more racing girls. Ne C'est pas?

So here it is, edited down to 2x 4mb, 2-minute, 320X240 pixel .WMV files.
