A South Wales police motorcyclist who was rammed by a car managed to get up and arrest the stunned driver.

The officer, who asked to remain anonymous, was rammed by the Volvo whilst on duty. Helped up by two members of the public, the bruised and bleeding officer – who was also later found to be suffering from whiplash – managed to detain his assailant, again with assistance from the same two members of the public.

The driver, a 21-year-old local man, was arrested in connection with a burglary in Morriston. He was also arrested in connection with outstanding warrants in relation to other offences.

Chief Inspector Nigel Whitehouse praised the modest officer "This could have been a lot worse. It was a miracle he was not more seriously injured, because the car was reversed at him at speed."

Good job officer. I would certainly condone a pepper spray AND a taser AFTER being arrested and being detained, just for good measure:angry: Scum
