Fishlayer, Boomer and myself, decided to take up Shaun Harris on his generous: check your suspension and setup for free, offer.
We travelled down today, Thursday and had a great ride. Few Mr Plods circulating :(
Shaun is a top bloke and true to his word, he checked all our bikes and setup those that were in dire need of adjusting. It turns out mine just needs heavier duty rear springs to increase ride height and everything else was about as good as it's going to get.
I had never met Shaun before, but he strikes me as honest and straight up.
It is an awesome offer he has right now for Kiwibikers. The ride is a good un and Shaun knows his stuff, so check out his post and do yourself and your bike a favour and enjoy the ride down if you are from Auckland.
Shaun, if you read this, thanks mate, your offer and help is much appreciated.

:)
I can't bear to part with my bike. It's just too good an all rounder. :)
New springs it will be and then I should get a couple of degrees more lean angle.

Hi, I keep reading about people having trouble getting there bikes to handle, and I see a lot of posts asking for help and advice as how to modify there set ups to make there bikes handle.
I live in New Plymouth where I run my buisness from, I am offering to any Kiwibiker Free set up service for your bikes
The Free part applies to Set up of your standard suspension ie, no parts added, no parts taken off the bike, just a messure up of your current set up, and changes to those settings, basically a 30 minute process!
From doing these messurements and mods, I would be able to 99.9%Gaurantee that you will leave happier than when you arrived, I also live on one of the best test roads in the country!
We may discover after doing all the base set up that you may require different springs, and or different fork oil, and possibly even different fork oil level, if so, that is where I would make any potentuall income from.
If any one wishes to take this offer up, please call me on my cell 027-2559143 or send me an email, PLEASE do not send me pm's on this!
If you do not know who I am, ask around, I am not saying I know it all, I am saying I have 20 years of succesfull racing behind me which has shown me a lot of tricks.
No Pm;s Please
pretty easy to see he's a top bloke! innit?

What makes you say that?
Cause when I bought the R6 off him, he went out of his way to help me and even let me crash at his lovely home and he's helped out tones of others and he's a top rider...etc etc.
What makes you say "What makes you say that?"?

Have to say a big thanks to Shaun for setting up my bike, feels so much more planted now and not saggy in the rear when getting back on the juice out of corners. Looking forward to giving it a good run on some road I know.
Highly recommend Shaun to anyone who has suspensions problems or is in need of accessories. Top bloke, very helpful and very knowledgable....and he makes a good cuppa coffee too.
The ride down was pretty good other than the freezing cold fog through the waikato. Pretty good roads right the way through really, only took us 3 hours including a 15min stop in Otorohonga.
Shaun I will let you know how it feels once I've taken for a good ride on some local roads, but so far so good!.
