Have you noticed in movies it is usually the bad guys who ride cruisers, hogs, choppers, etc? And the good guy in biking movies always rides a nice shiny sprotsbike.
Can you think of any good charactered cruiser riders in film or TV? The dudes from Easy rider I guess, but even those guys were no good dirty liberal drug-taking lefties.
Reno Raines, from that generic bounty-hunting programme, but that show sucked and he was a wuss.
I can't think of even one.

I thought that, then I thought that maybe "character" was pushing it a bit. Animate scenery, props perhaps.
He needs your boods, your cloes and your modorzykle. Mine wouldn't fit him.

Willis girlfriend - Who's motorcycle?

WG - Who's is it?
W - Zeds

How about the Aussie film (I have no idea what it was called) from the 70's, the baddies rode Z1's and the goody rode a Commando 750 wearing white leathers:sick: .
It was truly nasty, he looked like the Lone Ranger...actually he looked a bit like Owen Wilson if you can imagine that.

It all comes back to me now, I thought that was what I was, rather than what I was watching, interesting juxtaposition of sensory perceptions perhaps?

But not all Baddies ride cruisers - look at Mission impossible 2 - imagine if Sean Ambrose had jumped on some Boss Hoss Fat Bastard bike to try and chase Ethan Hunt - that would have been really funny.

Not sure which Hardly-Able-Son Marvin rode, but Brando's Triumph would have been the sportsbike of it's day. I dare say a Hardly would have been pretty damn quick at the time too.

Last time I checked... a Buell is definately NOT a cruiser...
On the subject of movie characters... as someone else already mentioned, "Harley Davidson and the Malboro Man"
Great movie and Mickey Rourke put a different spin on Harley riders... for starters he was in flash leathers and not scummy old raggedy black ones...

no, I seriously thought it was a triumph: Bud Ekins who did the jump (insurance co wouldnt let McQueen do it) raced Triumphs in the desert, as did McQueen. basically painted it grey and put some german paint on it.
googling now.

Yeah - I did a bit of googling myself - there was another website thought it was a BMW - will go and find that link.

I wouldnt think so. given the film editing of the time, it would have been really obvious if it was a BM.. the bigass cylinders sticking out the side.
There is an article about it in a CW I have at home somewhere..... somewhere is the operative word though.

Well spotted Mr Dorset Case - 'twas a Triumph after all - and it wasn't even built until 1960 - nearly 20 years after the escape!

aaaahhhhhhhh memories of Easy rider movie was it was the most awesome I went to way back then......... think I went to see it about 5 times.
I found the video of it in Video Cancepts in Palmy recently and got it out LOL and thought to myself as I watched it "what a dumb movie" hahahaha
But guess it all looked soooooo much better on bigscreen than on the 21" tv.
I ride a cruiser and before the rebuild I was pulled over by the cops about once in every 2 weeks for a "random check" ..... the bike was rough, loud and out at 1am LOL .... guess I looked like a biker up to no good ...... after the rebuild I have been pulled up twice in almost a year, first time the cop was a biker in Feilding, saw my bike and couldnt decide what it was so pulled me over to see the bike LOL and second time was just a "random check" cop checked my reg.wof.licence then we yakked for a while about his custom bike hes building lol..... so there are actually some ok cops out there

In "Black Rain" Detective Nick Conklin (Michael Douglas) somehow gets away from some Yakuza GSXR1100s on his cruiser (Harley 883 Sportster?). It's an 80's flick, I'm sure Indy can tell us more about it...

They had GM and Ford trucks.
What about that limp Renegade TV thing that Lorenzo Lamas and that guy who always plays American Indian Chiefs were in?
