the 50th anniversary one would be cool, but the basic one would do.

but it appears as if its not being imported here: a comparison from the site shows that NZ/Aus gets only 4 of the 8 models, and the XL1200R isnt among them.

seems strange to me: this has proper brakes, reasonable riding position, and enough grunt, without being a "cartoon HD" ie. a proper usable real world motorbike, at a reaonable price: MSRP in the US is $9k, so $16k NZD

Ditch the van and do the trip on the Harley.
