The things you do when you are bored.....

On my usual weekly trip up to Auckland I was getting a bit bored driving around the city so, having noticed a lot of red light runners over the last few months (probably no more than usual, just me taking more notice now I'm back on a bike) decided to do a count......23 consecutive sets of lights...57 red light runners! There was at least one at every set of lights. Scary. Take care out there folks, sometimes a procrastination is a good thing.

My first car was a Bradford, and it was so slow - did you know there were 333 white lines between the Sheepworld gate at the bottom of the Dome and the intersection at the bottom of Hill St in Warkworth? Or there were back then, go too fast to count them now...:done:

Yeah it`s scary up here with that kind of shit, gives me the willies! But if you ever get bored again and your at the front when a red light runner comes past and the lights are green on your side ,do what I do Launch off the line as if your gonna go ,but only launch about a metre (not so far that you might get hit,That`s just crazy!!)The look on some of the fuckers faces is priceless , but then some of them don`t give a shit because theyr`e arrogant fuckers.I don`t condone what I do , and I don`t recommend this boredom-buster to everyone , I just try and make them think twice before they run lights, P.s Don`t launch too far!

I normally drive three tons of high roof 4wd van so yep, that would make them pay attention! That is except for the 11 trucks that ran the lights..........(all of them artics!!)

Lauching probably not a good option then,but it just pisses me off when they run the light ,especially if your on two wheels ,you wonder if they have that much disregard for a light if that arrogance tranfers to other areas of their driving , like not indicating lane changes ,looking for bikes when they drive that sort of stuff(bitch session over),Glad you weren`t bored.

I often look bothways to make sure no red light fuckers are coming my way before I pull away once I have a greenlight.

Yeah, I'm paranoid about those greenies - always look both ways like SuperDave. Even when I'm cruising past a green I always check out to see if no crazies are deciding to hoon it through a red :sick: Will do even more checking especially after reading that thread about ride or die :sick:

If you waited and sped up to catch them later luck would have it that a cop will ping you, and he won't be willing to accept your explanation.

Just today I saw a cop exhead the speed limit of a 60 zone by 25kph and a 50 zone by 20kph continually.

On long trips when it starts getting cold I often sing. Mainly made up lyrics to fit old melodies.
