I drove past that rainbows end childrens fun park over at manurewa today and they must have just trimmed the trees back or some thing or perhaps i just had my eyes open for a change but has anyone else seen the kart track they have in there for those bumper kart things? brilliantly twisty track that would really sort out the men from the boys! not very long but you would be exhausted after 15 mins on that track! the place is shut half the year during the winter, is anyone friendly with someone who works there who could find out about letting us on there?

Having said that, what about the numerous indoor kart tracks that are all over the place? how much would it cost to use one of those places on a sunday considering we bring our own vehicles? some of them are pretty big and there is no problem with rain stopping play. lack of run off would probably be the biggest headache (litarelly).

rainbows end childrens fun park... ...someone who works there who could find out about letting us on there?

I work there. I would happily talk to the big boss, and ask if he would consider it.

For your info, the track is about a kilometre long, and has about 12 – 15 corners. The track surface isn’t anything to marvel about, but it’ll do

They're not too keen at the moment, just coming up too the busy season. The park is open everyday excpet christmas, so it'll have to be an after work type thing. The track does have somewhat effective flood lights.

I'm pretty keen to get somehting like that up and going with a couple of mates, so I'll keep you posted.
