I heard he was talking shit about the local women and Maori at a taxi stand (pissed) and someone smacked him in the melon.... heh....
just what ive heard from my flatm8, have no idea how accurate it is.

I remember serving him a couple of times when i worked at a christchurch servo, proper rude he was i must say!

There are two sides... Clit BROWN says he was fine, having a burger and got smascked for ne reason at the taxi stand, backed up by his two mates.

The other side appears to be... refused service in pubs, too drunk, legless, held up by his mates, got shitty, mouthed off and abused some woman whose male partner took exception and decked him but another male mate put the slipper in for good measure. Corroborated by publicans and witnesses apparently.

Brown off air pending inquiry

Wednesday September 20, 2006
By Elizabeth Binning and NZPA

TV3 broadcaster Clint Brown will be off the air for at least two weeks while the network investigates the circumstances surrounding a Taupo assault that left him with a broken eye socket.

TV3 spokesman Roger Beaumont said an investigation was launched after the network received information about the incident, which is being treated as an employment matter.

It has been reported that Brown was sitting down to have a hamburger when he was hit in an unprovoked attack. He is also said to have spoken to police but did not lay a complaint because there was little chance of the offenders being caught.

However, Brown's version of events has been challenged by witnesses who say he was drunk, aggressive and was hit only after knocking over a man's wife.

Brown - who had been at dinner in Taupo discussing the A1 Grand Prix motor race - is also alleged to have made obscene comments to a Maori taxi driver.

Kazbar owner Peter Paul said Brown turned up at his bar on Wednesday night with a group of friends but was denied entry as he was considered too drunk.

Mr Paul suggested two of his regular patrons take Brown across the road to get a burger.

"I thought, you can't come in here but let's look after him."

After finishing the meal witnesses said Brown started swearing and abusing nearby Maori women.

Mr Paul saw Brown get punched to the ground and kicked and rushed across the road to break it up. He spoke to witnesses who said Brown was swearing a lot and was told to calm down before the attack.

Brown allegedly charged at a man, knocking his wife down in the process. The man knocked him to the ground.

"The guy that knocked him over warned him four or five times to tone it down and then when Clint decided to attack him he knocked his wife down in the process. If Clint Brown hadn't knocked his wife over I don't think the guy would have assaulted him."

Mr Paul said he was concerned Brown's actions would now reflect badly on Taupo, which was unfair because the town was safe to visit.

"This isn't about me or the man who knocked him down, it's about Clint Brown bringing disrepute to Taupo. That's the issue."

Brown was yesterday receiving specialist treatment in hospital for his injuries.

Yesterday TV3 said Brown and two people he was with that night had denied allegations that he was drunk and abusive. However it also admitted Brown's stance was at odds with that of Taupo locals.

Mr Beaumont said neither TV3 nor Mr Brown would be commenting further until the completion of the investigation, which was expected to take up to two weeks.

Farken lowlife. So found guilty as charged before the investigation is even over huh?...

If he is guilty then so be it...
No disrespect - but there might be 2 sides to this story...so unless you were there and can be witness, let the investigation take place, before the insults start :spudwhat:

Whatever the truth, I detect a strong aroma of celebrity envy/tall poppy syndrome, call it what you will.

I am sure that Clint Brown's employers are eagerly waiting the learned discourse from Kiwi Biker contributors before forming their own decision on what should happen to Clint.

I met him once before and can confirm the wank factor is quite high. They should make him present the sports with a black eye to shame him out. If you cant handle ya booze its not a good look, give it away.

It was probably the other guys wife who punched him out! :spanking:

From what I read a female taxivandriver was innocently minding her bizzo and about to drive her 7 passengers home when the idiot called her a "Tuwharetoa whore". Apparently he got no response so tried again by hurling a fresh insult of"Tainui whore" at the poor woman. She drove away..... and maybe it got on the grapevine.... and then.......

And now her boss Mere Hall is demanding a written apology from clinty. My guess is he'll encounter unwelcomeness in Taupo i future unless he coughs up.

Seems he has a woman problem and a race problem of some sort. Prat.

You're welcome. I thought it was too. Subtle even...and I'm always happy to oblige patronsing and self righteous people with a taste of their own medicine.

Regardless of the incident my comments extend well beyond this thread based on personal experience and feedback from family members who work with the aforementioned. Living in a small country like ours you get that.

But then i doubt you'd understand that...living the sheltered life you do...

"Celebrity Envy".He reads the sports news mate, that hardly qualifies him as being a celebrity.

First off, Clint Brown is not a celebrity. NZ only has about 5 in total and he is not one. The rest are bottom feeders. I've met Clint Brown and he's so far up himself he's almost invisible and for no reason at all.

As for him giving stick to maori's, I thought he was maori. He's certainly got some spook in him.

As long as they don't replace him with that Anthony Stevens. I get tired of hearing about the "Ear New Zealand Cup", or the "Women's pears" or skiers getting "big ear". I know New Zealanders have appalling diction, but he (and other offenders) are supposed to be professional voices. Terrible business.

If he knocks your wife down its not assault, self defense of your self or defense of others is still legal in NZ.... so far.

I used to work with his brother, Kevin - the face is very similar but Kevin has red hair, blue eyes and freckles! From memory one of their parents is Samoan. His brother was okay, I met Clint once when he was just starting to become recognised in public and boy, did he love himself!
