Hey Girls & Guys, up date on the first aid course.

Meet with V2Glen (Paramedic) the other day,Also Draco has kindly agreed to assist with teaching, thanks guys. we have nutted out what we belive to be a suitable course aimed at Bike riders, this evening is designed to give you a bit more confidence in yourself, should you come across a biker down. We are sticking to basics, if you want to know how to deal with sticky plasters and such like, stay at home. The evening will cover the following.
1) Correct Misinformation on Liabilty issues
2) Scene Safety
3) Helmet removal
4) Trauma managment
5) CPR.
6) What do you really need in a first aid kit ?
7) Question time

As I have mentioned before this is not a certified course, that would cost$$$ and we would need a comitment of min 8 hours from you guys, just to do basic first aid, we hope what we have to offer will be of more help to you.
Both Glen and I will be coming staright from out day shifts(Not sure about Jen) so we need to start as close to 1900hours as possible, we are planning for about 2.5-3hour session. We hope you will all get something of value from this evening.

A week late as usual, but that was awsome, fully reccommended for anyone who can make it to the next one especially if they are ever brave enough to do another. :doctor:

I'm just trying to remember what the basics were for a portable, bespoke, non-professional first aid kit, as discussed on the night. So far I've got:

Tri-bandages (lots)
latex gloves
guard sheets for mouth-to-mouth (can't remember the technical name)
Electrical tape or similar

I can't remember any of the other bits that were mentioned, so does anyone want to make any additions? A couple of other bits that I don't think were mentioned have occurred to me, that I'll throw in for discussion:

Snippers for cutting off clothes
Wound pads (or whatever those big gauze dressing pads are called)
